Bullying is SUCH a tricky topic, and to be honest most standard anti-bullying advice doesn't actually work. Most staff work hard to keep their campers safe, but aren't totally sure what to do when a bullying situation arises.

Virtual Staff Training Programs
I've created two easy to access virtual training courses specifically for camp staff. The trainings are 2 hours, on-demand courses which will give your staff team the tools and insights they need to confidently handle conflicts, difficult behaviours, big feelings, and bullying. (Side note - these methods work for staff and parent issues too!). This training includes strategies and tips for campers as young as 3 and as old as 93!

This training answers questions like:

- What do I do with a camper who can't stop crying?
- How can I stop campers from being so cruel?
- I'm about to loose my patience, what can I do instead?

- Activities at the end of each session so counsellors can have fun and learn hands-on.
- Workshop handouts for each staff member.
- A facilitator handbook for senior staff so they feel prepared to run the session.
The best part?
Most of the methods I will be teaching you have come from the foundations of the camping world. After 10 years in camping (as a counsellor, program director, and director) - I know that at the root of camping is helping youth to find the best versions of themselves. These anti-bullying and conflict management methods do just that - teaching campers conflict management skills, helping them to find a strong & kind voice, and creatively problem solve.
Your staff will leave the course not only confident to solve major conflicts or bullying between staff, but, will know what themes to infuse into their camp programming so that this information can be learned throughout their sessions at camp, not just when a crisis arises.

Cost:
- I want to make this course as accessible as possible. Typically I charge $600 a person for trainings - but I know that's out of range for the camping world. Instead, I've arranged a special price (and a one-time-payment) so that this information is accessible for your staff.
- The cost is $1000 +HST for a site-wide license for your camp.
- Payment Plans - I have had camps in the past create a 2 or 3 year long payment plan to cover the cost. Covid has been hard on the camping industry and I'm happy to be flexible with timing. Give me a call if you need some flexibility and we can find a solution that works for both of us.
